Sizing & Fit

XS/S- 20" waist un-stretched, 27" long

M/L- 24" waist un-stretched, 28" long

XL/2X- 28" waist un-stretched, 28" long

3X/4X- 32" waist un-stretched, 29" long

The elastic waistband on these skirts is super stretchy and can stretch out over 2x the width of the elastic. For example, the 20" elastic stretches out to over 40". In order to get the best fit, you want the elastic to fit snugly.  A snug fit will prevent the skirt from pulling down when you put items, like your phone or keys, into your pockets.  The size increments are based on fit testing and aligned with our fit models typical sizing in women's apparel.

If you have any questions about selecting a size, please email me at sara@luckyfranklin.com and I will be happy to guide you to the best size for you.

Fiber Content

Our Flora Midi Skirts are made from 100% premium cotton fabric that has been mercerized and printed with OEKO-TEX certified dyes.

Care Instructions

Our Flora midi skirts are made from 100% premium cotton fabrics that can be conventionally washed and dried. There may be a small amount of shrinkage after your first wash.

For machine washing, we recommend using cold water on a delicate cycle setting. The cold water will help prevent dye migration. If you wash on a semi-warm, warm or hot setting, dyes may bleed and ruin your skirt.

For machine drying, we recommend using low heat on a delicate cycle setting. We strongly urge you to not dry your skirt on any setting higher than low heat, as higher heats as this could shrink your skirt and cause the elastic in the waist to breakdown and degrade more quickly.

Our optimal care recommendation is to steam clean your skirt if it has been minimally worn and minimally soiled. Steam cleaning is a great way to keep your skirt fresh, eliminate minor odors and remove wrinkles. Steaming is also the best way to remove wrinkles in between conventional cleanings.

If you do not have a steamer, you can slo iron your skirt on a medium heat setting to remove wrinkles are conventional cleanings.

Sustainability & Transparency

To cut down on wasted inventory, our Flora Midi Skirts are created using a made to order model. That means each skirt is only made when you order it so that we do not over produce any one size.

Any and all fabric scraps left over from your skirt are saved so that they can be turned into other unique items.

For our Flora Midi Skirts, I currently use 100% premium cotton prints produced by Art Gallery Fabrics.

The cotton fabric produced by Art Gallery Fabrics has been mercerized and dyed with OEKO-TEX standard dyes, which are meant to be non-toxic and more environmentally friendly.

While cotton is a natural fiber and preferable over synthetics, like polyester, conventionally grown cotton still has a lot of negatives and is not truly sustainable.

I would like to be able to source sustainable and ethically made cotton materials, but right now I am doing the best I can with what I have and what is accessible and affordable to me. I try to make the most out of whatever materials I have and produce high quality products that will last for years to come.
