Our kimonos are made in small batches from 100% rayon fabric.
Rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber that is made from regnerated cellulose. It is not a perfectly sustainable fabric, as the process to make the fibers uses a lot of energy and chemicals. However, Rayon does not contain any plastics and is a very breathable, unlike polyester.
We save all our kimono fabric scraps so that they can be repurposed into other items.
